I’m Antoinette—author, wedding officiant, tiny-house dreamer, and, depending on the day, the woman living out of a surprisingly organized car.

If you’re new here, let me give you the real introduction. I’m a 54-year-old woman building a life rooted in faith, joy, and a whole lot of “Alright God… I trust You… but whew, this journey is something.” I’m writing the Nailed It romance series—stories inspired by the kind of love, healing, and becoming that I believe is still meant for me. Not perfect love, but grown-folk, soulful, choosing-each-other-every-day kind of love.

This blog? This is where I pull back the curtain.

Where I Am Right Now

At the moment, I'm living in my car while I transition into a new chapter of life. Not in a “cry for help” way—more like a “this is temporary, intentional, and kind of a badge of honor at this point” way. I’ve got routines (that I sometimes stick to), systems, and yes… a low-profile toilet. (You go ahead and laugh. I’ll wait.)

By day, I’m a wedding officiant—standing in front of couples as they promise their forever. It’s wild watching people step into something I’m still praying for. But every time I say, “By the power vested in me…” something in me lights up. Like, yes, love is still out here. Love is still possible. Keep going.

Where I’m Headed

 This holiday season, I’ll be bringing in Christmas and New Year’s at my tiny house—the little sanctuary that’s been calling my name for years before I even owned it. It’s still a work in progress, but so am I. Something about closing out 2025 there, and welcoming 2026 on that land, feels like alignment. Like God whispering, “See? I told you I’d get you here.”

I’ll be chopping wood for exercise (because who needs a gym membership when you’ve got timber?), drinking coffee on the porch, and writing the next installment of the Nailed It series by the glow of the propane heater. It’s giving rustic romance heroine, minus all the Instagram filters.
